Gaming laptops have been in the market for quite some time now, these have been mostly desktop replacements as they wieghed an average of 10 pounds and no less than 2 inches thick. Then again the existence of laptops which are ultra thin and ultra portable cannot be ignored but when it comes to gaming performance these machines misses the mark by a mile. Razer has fabricated a laptop called Blade which they claim to be the World’s first true gaming laptop.
The reason they made this outrageous statement is because of the ability of the Blade to balance performance and portability perfectly. The performance of the laptop is still sketchy but the portability factor of this laptop is clearly unseen in any 17″ gaming laptop. Then again Razer has developed blade in close partnership with Pentium therefore suprises can surely be expected.
Blade graphics is powered by a next genereation Nvidia discrete GPU GT555m with 2 GB dedicated GDDR5 with Optimus technology to save you battery life. It also offers a decent 8GB of RAM and a 320 GB SATA hardrive. The display 17.3″ LED backlit is the highlight of the machines that supports 1080p HD video.
The chassis of Razer Blade is milled out of pure aluminium to give its slim profile a sturdy backbone. The Blade is 16.81″ wide having a depth of 10.90″ .88″ thick and weighing at a 3.16 kg the machine seems to be on a strict diet. Packed with power of an average full size gaming PC Blade may seem to be a stunner. That is until have heard its horrendous price of $2800.
